6 foot compact light stand (external link). Good size, and what I use.

Bigger light stand (external link) (prob too big for a 430)

Radio Triggers (external link). Good brand, reliable, reasonably priced. If you want cheap go to www.gadgetinfinity.com (external link) but be prepared to modify them to get them to work, like adding an antenna.

Mount to get flash onto tripod (external link)

Umbrella (external link)

Since you have to run in manual anyway you could always get a cheap flash, so you can use this off-camera and keep the 430 on-camera as fill. Sunpak 383 (external link) is what I use.

The stands I linked to are lighter weight than the impact ones, I think. I got them beacuse my 13' Impact stands are too big for smaller wedding receptions. Plus a Speedlite looks silly on a 13' stand ;)

If you can afford the ones I linked, get them. The Cactus ones need an aerial added, which means you need soldering skills and to buy the parts. Plus they're not really reliable. If you just want to try out radio triggers and you have the skill get the Cactus ones. If you want them to be reliable get the ones I linked to.

Both. The flash mounts on the silver bit at the top. The umbrella mounts through a hole in the middle. It connects to a tripod via a screw in the bottom.

So should i get..2 brackets?
And i'll look into the radio triggers. How much setup is required? Just plug in and go?
