Depending on how steady your and hands are, try to aim for 1/80 as a minimum. Also the lighting is very harsh, leaving the flowers blown out in places, try and shoot during the golden hours to get a much softer, unifrom lighting. Compositionally they aren't bad, although I'm finding the background in #1 a little distracting, try shooting wider open to really isolate the flowers. Olivier

I hope you don't mind but I took the liberty of playing with the 2nd one a little. Since the highlights were blown I took a chance with upping the contrast and saturation a little, sharpened it and cropped out the distractions. Hope you like it.  Garry Knight
