I am currently upgrading to the wireless ways now of all my photos being captured in the computer as I take pictures but for now I take my memory cards to the computer and have my partners edit and publish them on slideshows for people to see. Any one else do anything different? Canon Equipment

It's a bunch of work and organisation though, and you'll have to include the cost of that assistant in your fee (or absorb it). More or less what we did is shoot for half an hour or so, dump the cards, and as they are dumping, choose 20-40 shots from the half hour before that in lightroom, then start the lightroom slideshow. That repeated for about five hours. Gave us time to take a break and dump the cards, and still have a relatively high uptime. I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

(Horse events usually last all day) They then upload to a website that night. This may only work for horse events, I'm not sure what type of event your event is...

May 12, 2008 00:14 | #5 Well I did this at a dance event/competition but i only had 2 computers with a screen each plsying a slideshow. And having tons of people in line is not nearly enough to let people see what thye want. I am wondering if anyone has a way to display their photos across a bunch of screens or something. The thumbnails idea sounds likea decent idea. Canon Equipment

Alternately just run a single slide show and give out cards to let people order photos online later. I've only shot one event where we tried to do orders on the night, in the end we gave up and just handed out cards and asked people to order online.
