Better ? NO... the original (On Black) is a good portrait.
Bad ? NO... I like it actually, effective. Good first attempt id say.

Ok Roy what have you done??I would have left her skin tones etc as they were in the original and just changed the background to white..Also I wouldn't have changed it to mono..

Now go back and try again (putting on my concerned teacher's voice).. :lol:

This isn't constructive in any way to the shot but I really couldn't put my finger on who she looks like.
