Wanted a little CC for these. Taken of my 22 month old daughter with (surprisingly) an old 18-55 kit lens (non IS). PP included lab color sharpening with "soft glow" effect/ vignette. Resized.

Thoughts?

There is something disturbing about the color in all 3 shots.

I don't know whether it is the color balance or just the luck of the draw on colors.
Otherwise, the exposures seem to be reasonably good.

It must have been a completely overcast day. There are no shadows to speak of.

Her skin looks green on the first one. I don't really notice it on the other 2.

On my laptop, they look pretty good. However, now that I look at them on another desktop monitor it seems I may have overdone the vibrance in Lightroom.

If the colors are destaurated a bit, you can see her beyond all that color?

First one for me is still hard to get the color adjusted correctly...:(

Since the first was the harder one, I gave it a shot. I liked the bright flowers (surprise) so I masked them off while doing the color correction for her skin. Other color enhancements came strictly from converting from Adobe RGB to sRGB.

LD, I am still finding the colors are overwhelming for the first shot....as beautiful as they are.its a tough one.Getting thre Bg and then her dress etc color balanced seems to draw from her face..? Yours did take the greenish tint out mind you.

Yes they're too saturated. Likely from the color boost in LAB. The red channel has a fair bit of clipping in it so you may get a better end result from the original unedited image.

Another try correcting the skin tones, and reducing the impact of the background.

Without a doubt the second shot is the best in the series. I guess I got carried away with the color correcting exercise found in the first shot :)

Now that the dust has settled, I don't think anyone will ever really be sure what happened here unless the OP actually posts the original unadulterated images right out of the camera - please!
