I currently use a Mini Trekker AW as my large backpack and have run into a situation or two when I need more room. I am considering purchasing a couple of the SlipLock cases instead of looking for a larger backpack. The two I am leaning towards is the "Bottle bag" for a water bottle and then maybe a "Pouch 30" for my flash which what I seem to tend to need to find quickly.

Anyone using any of the SlipLock cases along with their LowePro backpacks? If so what cases and why?

I use several, with one for a flash on my shoulder bags. They attach very securely and are very flexible and worthwhile additions to your bag.

Thanks Pinto,

Which one best fits your flash?

Yes, in fact I use them to store specialist lenses at home when they are not in use. I have also used one to attach a 300 f4 IS to a smaller bag for example.

The attach securely, the smaller cases like the utility case just have one or two Velcro tabs. The larger ones like I used for my 300mm have a Velcro tab and two straps to hold the tabs in place for extra security.

They work quite well, go and take a loop at your nearest supplier.

Sliplock 30 fits the 580. It's a little snug, but it works. Wish they'd redesign it and add an inch or two in height.

I don't have a backpack, but use the LowePro Stealth Reporter bag and their Street & Field belt. The SlipLok pouches are externally attached to my Stealth Reporter to hold some accessory items like right angle finder, or radio remote trigger. The Lens Cases are mounted exterior to the Stealth Reporter for rapid access to most frequently used lenses, or to the Street and Field belt to carry along certain lenses which might otherwise stay at home except when specifically needed. I find the attachment mechanism to be quite secure, yet flexible for different situations. They can even go on regular trouser belts, and do not have to be used with Lowepro belts and bags.
