How about telling us what stands you have, and how you current connect everything together. You have a speed ring? Any heavy duty light stands will be fine, I have 13' impact stands. I'd probably buy another brand next time, these ones are a bit fiddly to adjust the feet. May 11, 2008 22:08 | #3 I have ab 13ft heavy duty stands. I currenty use the speed rings that came with the amvona softboxs. The problem is not the stand but the light ring wont stay on the light very good.

I have the AlienBees speedring and it works fine. Professional wedding photographer, solution architect and general technical guy with multiple Amazon Web Services certifications.

If you are handy with a hacksaw, cutting part of the ring off will fit the AB strobe. 5D, 24-105L, 70-200L IS, 85mm Art, Godox
