Just my .02. Since you have a aps-c camera all of the 4 lens mentioned are great choices and all priced within $100 of each other. In case you think you might go FF, check out the Sigma 12-22 it actually has a wider field of vision than any of those four (120 degrees vs 102 for the Canon 10-22/Sigma 10-20). I actually went with the Sigma 10-20 and love it.

The Sigma 12-24 only has a wider field of view on a full frame body. On APS-C, 12mm is 12mm, and it has the same FOV as the Tokina 12-24.

Had just bought Sigma 10 - 20 and so exited about it!

Some examples:

First intention was to buy Canon 10 - 22 but I think it's overly overpriced

I like the 10-22 from Canon. I have never used the other versions. Although I dont use it often, its a blast to use. I only wish I could use it on my 1D without having to tinker with it.

I'm a fan of the Canon 10-22.

It's in the same category as the 17-55 f/2.8 in that it's an (EF-S only) L-series lens.

They are all good and you won't go wrong whatever you choose. I've owned two---the Sigma 10-20 and the Tokina 11-16. They are both great, but I wanted a constant 2.8 for interior shots in low light w/out flash.
