I don't see a price on that page that you linked above ... am I doing something wrong? Ah, I did find it in the Canon store on Dell.

Yeah, I wonder if it's ahead of the $200 rebate? If not, then maybe we can get another $200 off if we call back next week.

Yeah, I'm thinking i might as well go on and order from this site that offers the instant rebate... i hate to have to mess with mail-in rebates...

and this is about as cheap as i've found it (at least from a reputable dealer)

Does dell charge tax and shipping?

EDIT: there is no shipping, but there is tax. $1179.91 is price out the door. Not that great of a deal, you can get it cheaper on amazon $1139 + 7 shipping and no tax.

I'd stay clear from Dell, do a search and you'll see the horrible customer service and the infamous bait-and-switch tactic they love to employ.

I looked at them about 2 months ago for a 40D body only. Everything was looking good until I went all the way through the checkout. Even applied a AAA discount (6% I think) to sweeten the deal. Then the dreaded sales tax line killed the whole deal.
Run the order all the way through to see the true "final" cost then see if you are getting a good deal or a not so good deal.
