Hallo...

Just curious:
Will Canon 20D plus grip be fit in Lowepro Top load 2?
Thanks...

The D60 fit nicely in my TL2, however, I didn't have the grip. The fit was snug so I'm certain it would not have fit with the grip. I now have a 20D with a grip and I haven't bothered to try to fit it in the TL2 - there's no way I see it fitting in the TL2 - perhaps the next model up but not the TL2.

I don't like your chances. I have a 20D and it fits nicely in a TL2 with the 24-70, but it is a snug fit around the body. I would be surprised if the grip would fit.

I too am interested in a top loading bag that is easy to
carry. I saw this post about the velocity bags for my
20d + battery grip. Reading that thread tells me that the
velocity 9 bag is the only one that'll fit the camera + grip
but is too huge.

I guess I'll need to take a trip to the local camera store to
find one. I just hate driving around town from camera store
to camera store and not finding anything to my liking.

I'll add a comment since I know how hard it seems to find a bag tht will fit with the camera batt grip attached....this bag is worth checking out, it's a LowePro and it's a real tank in terms of keeping your equipment safe. I got this for a smaller bag from my big backpack and love it.

Some pictures I posted on this thread with the 10D and grip:

On Lowepro's site...even though it's a "shoulder bag", you load it in like a top loader.

I have the LowePro Topload Zoom AW (the older version) and the 20D goes in best if you tilt the body so the lens points down (obviously) and away from the pocket side of the bag. That means the base of the camera body is higher than the viewfinder.

I have also seen a 10D with the grip fit into a Tamrac 519 (their largest holster bag). I have a Tamrac 517, and the 20D will not fit with the grip. Great for the Drebel or 20D without a grip, though.

Have Fun,

Rick

Speaking with a friend who has the 10D with the grip, he told me
that he has LowePro Off Trail 2 (external link) and he loves it.

The tamrac 519 looks nice as well, but doesn't have the detachable
side storage "cases" that the Off Trail 2 has.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
