What's the difference?
I have an opportunity to purchase the regular Sigma Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto 28-70mm f/2.8 EX DG Autofocus Lens for $250 used (shipping included), and I'm trying to replace the kit lens that came with my Rebel xti (400D?). Should I wait to get the macro version or should I get another lens? Recommendations?
I'm starting out, but what I'm primarily going to use the lens for is:
- product photos of baby carriers for my business
- shots of people using the baby carriers
- sometimes I take closeup shots of jewelry I make
- photos of my kids (4mo and a 3yo)
They're going to be both indoor and outdoor. I'm planning on purchasing a flash for indoor shots, but knowing me and my DH, we may not have the chance to run and attach the flash always before taking that once in a lifetime shots of my babies.
