Photos are sick bro. What lens did you shoot these with? They look so damn sharp.

I looked through your set on Flickr and they look mighty impressive. I'm a rookie photographer but I hope someday to merge this with my other great love (snowboarding). I'll never go as big as you guys (that method cliff drop was ridunkulous) but I feel I can still make my shots interesting. If you have some time maybe you can drop a little knowledge on me? Like what gear you use, tips etc. Thanks!

Thanks for all the feedback!

I use the canon xti with the 50mm 1.4 for all these shots.

I am considering taking snowboarding pictures this upcoming season. I was wondering what a good lens would be to take great shots like yours. I am also looking to take pictures of rails and terrain parks. Any Suggestions would be great?

For all these shots I used the 50mm 1.4. For rails and terrain parks you probably want a wider angle lens(maybe the 10mm-22mm).

Do you not like zooms for your regular shots (outside the terrain park) because it is heavier/slower?

I only own two lenses. The canon 50mm 1.4 and the kit lens. The 50mm is a really nice lens. On the xti body it slides right in my coat pocket. Although I usually put it in my backpack. The kit lens just isn't as sharp as I would like, and hardly ever gets any use. I would love to own the Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS. :( Its super fast and sharp. My next purchase will be the 70-200 or the 10-22. Prolly the 10-22 because I cant afford the 70-200.

Very nice set! I'm extremely jealous as I didn't manage to get out on the slopes at all this year :(
