i think it's just supply and demand, and they're not making them very quickly.

i got mine back in october '08 before it got massively popular, and i could probably sell it for what i paid for it!

I don't know. I am just raising a question because from what people say/report it would seem the big retailers are obviously scared of stocking it. That happens only when either A. there isn't any demand or B. when the retailers are privy to classified information about discontinuation of a particular model.
Since there is a lot of demand obviously A cannot be true and therefore I was wondering if the second one was a possibility.
I still don't own it but it's on my radar. I visit this threat everyday to learn about the capabilities of the lens.

Afaik, they've had huge problems with stocking the 11-16 for the last few years, nothing out of the norm anyway...


Some of my lenses focus beyond infinity...!

I had this lens for a week now used it a few times. I went out today used it some more I am still getting used to it.

Tokina ATX116 at 16 mm.
One of my first test shot of landscape photography.
Picture was taken on 'Elektrenu marios' lake, near the Lithuanian Power Plant.
