Droopy little spring flowes

The otherwise still barren nature preserve near my home was teeming with these droopy little spring flowers. But when I looked through the viewfinder, they just looked like flower backsides. So I put on the 11-16 and set the camera practically on the ground right in front of the flowers and came up with this.. Somehow the beauty of these little wild gardens just didn't come through.

Holy Christ that is expensive. Aren't they usually around $600?

Yes, list price is still $600. Tokina has never made enough of this lens, so some of the resellers have added a supply & demand surcharge. B&H does not add the surcharge, but they are always out of stock. You can either get on their waiting list and hopefully get one in about 4 mouths, or pay the premium.

[edit] With the current situation in Japan, the patterns of the past (as described above) might be out-the-window, for the worse. The surcharge used to be $50, this is the first time I have noticed that $750 was the best available.

Nice view. I was unfortunately stuck only at the road level when I went there as a tourist. Just an afterthough - Brooklyn Bridge deserves a 400 from here at night !!!
