Nope ive ever had an issue in MSG. I put my sigmalux on my 7D. I take off the grip. I walk in with camera in had. I show them my bag. They see the tokina in there. No issue. And i walk right in. :D

Ive gotten not only my camera but my whole bag into several different games at US Airways in Phoenix and the Target Center in MN. I got a little heck for having the bag period in Phx, and a bit of it too for having my 100L in MN but I found out that different guards have different standards, one lady was not letting me in no matter what with the lens because it was "too big" and I tried another guard and he let me through without any questions... I always go plenty early just in case though.

thanks guys...i guess the problem is with telephotos more. im guessing i could get by with smaller black lenses but i doubt theyll let me through with a white L without media pass.

Ya pretty much any white L will be impossible unless its snuck in way at the bottom of your girls huge purse.. hah... maybe.....

And the problem is more just with physical size of the lens than the FL... they dont understand FL - wide/tele... I actually got a decent amount of hell for tryin to bring my 11 16 in too.. which is pretty funny.

Probably the last two pictures I will ever make with my 11-16. I'm shipping it out to it's new family tomorrow. However, a 17-40 will probably fill it's shoes on my 5D soon enough.

*insert a montage of all our happy moments together here*
Because I wanted the last shot to linger as long as possible, a 4 1/2 minute exposure seemed appropriate (hurray for B+W 10 stops ND filter)
Also, due to the nostalgic nature of this moment, I went with a bit more dramatic processing ;)

And the one just before (sorry, lost the exif in PPing on a new layer...):

Looks like resellers just got a few in stock today. B&H and Camcor have them for $600 plus shipping. Get them while they're hot!

Doh! Of course, right after I spent all my "photo budget" money for the next month or two! I've been eyeing this lens for a while now, great pics folks. :)

Spectacular sky, really like like this processing. Just a minor amount of haloing I'd try to get rid off, especially near the front end of the train.
