Why did you shoot this shot at f/2.8? The entire image looks soft to me. Good composition, but lacking in sharpness. I would open it up and use a tripod.

It's such a nice lens. This next is shot in Ghent, Belgium.

^The ap is not the problem, the SS is and he should have up the ISO to at least 800.

That was the problem, I had no tripod. I tried several times and this was the sharpest I got.

You're on a bridge. I've done plenty of shots setting the camera on a wall or stabilized myself with something. The problem is the settings.

Probably should have been ISO800-1250, F4-5.6, SS 100 or slower since you should have leaned against something. Can you try it again?

It's tough without a tripod. I have used similar strategies as the ones suggested above with success. You can always straighten crooked horizons in post.

Corona looks as if he/she had a few too many "Coronas". Cute kitty!

Here are a few shots I took the other night using this lens on a Rebel XT. I have to admit, having an f/2.8 lens is absolutely AWESOME for night shooting. I must admit, I'm not super impressed with this lens for other types of shooting though, seems awfully soft unless you stop way down, and focuses very slow. Maybe I've got a bad copy, I'm renting it so no big deal really.

All of these shots were single exposures, most were taken at f/2.8, if not all of them. Usually between 20-30 second exposures at ISO 200.
