They look so... magical and galaxy like! I haven't seen it in Australia before... ![]() I used to see the Northern Lights when I lived in South Dakota. Now that I live in Arizona I never see them. Very very nice picures! Eric Schlaht - Phoenix Arizona Photographer

I had a great opportunity to use it for the first time at a local bike night. Here is a shot of a few bikes at Westgate in Glendale, AZ. This lens did amazing work in low light conditions. oliverweagle Member 52 posts Joined Mar 2008 More info | I have just ordered a Tokina 11 - 16 and currently have a Hoya Pro 1 CPL (that I use with my Canon 70 - 200L 2.8 Would this CPL be suitable for use with the Tokina? I have read posts that indicate that one should get a "thin" cpl - but I don't know what that means!

I believe the 70-200mm is a 67mm and the Tokina is a 77mm. Eric Schlaht - Phoenix Arizona Photographer

I'd love to get an UWA lens not just for landscapes and buildings, but also for close up and a bit of exaggerated perspectives. Daniel

jwcdds Cream of the Crop More info | May 09, 2010 00:08 | #1422 For me, it depends on the available light. The MFD is kind of far (I believe most Sigmas will allow you to get up close and personal). That said, if you get a good copy, it is pretty sharp at f/2.8. Julian

The MFD of the Tokina is a couple of inches longer than the 10-20/22 varieties out there. It doesn't sound like much, but in the world of UWA, it can make a difference in some shots. I'm off lining my cage with newspaper.
