I ran into that with Aperture over the weekend as well. Trying to "Import folders as projects..." Man, what a disaster - and a general pain in the ass. Not to mention a bug in the latest Aperture 2.0.1 that seems to eat memory... And not release it short of a reboot (or logging out, don't recall if I tried that). La Vida Leica!
