That it lists changes for the 450D isn't any surprise.
More interesting that the list of cameras compatible with the lens abberation correction now lists the EOS 1000D model.

If I didn't work on so many computers I would probably like LR more, the way I have stuff set up though, its sadly not a viable option. I want to like it, and instead it just frustrates me =D.

I'm thinking of using DPP while I wait out LightRoom 2 and/or Bibble 5. I'm currently using Rawshooter Professional but I am finding some good aspects of DPP. One question I've had is if DPP touches the RAW file. That is one reason I stopped using it. I thought rotation was touching the file and wasn't sure what other data it was writing. Am I mistaken?

We should for a LR haters club :D I trialed it and it's cool in some instances but really not worth the money IMHO.

I tried out the LR beta and the dual monitor support is awesome, I just cant live with the memory hogging . It just uses so much damn memory its disgusting.

Like over a 1 gig with not even a huge database . I can run CS3 and bridge all day with less memory usage.

I do have to get used to DPP still.
Canon's site crashes my browsers everything time I try to download something so I quit trying.

I have it downloaded and installed. Everything works good so far. I have not tried any of the NEW features.

I have LR and toss back and forth between the two.

Either I'm going blind, but it's NOT available at all...I first checked the Aussie site out, and pathetically, they *only* have the user guide for DPP for download, not the software (and only v3.2)...what gives?

Dave

edit - odd, just checked the XP only radio button and there's the updater...

2nd edit - dead link...

Did you specify your OS in the drop down box?

Seems to either have been pulled, or just temporarily unavailable.

Looks like it referenced a not yet existing camera in the help notes... XS/1000D.

After upgrading to this version, I'm getting a "Failed to start Photoshop"-message when I try to transfer an image, which worked fine with the earlier version. There doesn't seem to be any kind of a field in the DPP-menus to point out the Photoshop installation folder, so can I edit some registry value to fix this? Or should I go back to an earlier version?

Edit:

There's sort of an "image transfer"-setting in the batch processing window, which does open the image in Photoshop after it has saved it into a TIF/JPG-file, but the direct transfer command still doesn't work.

Thanks!!!

You ever get in trouble from Canon for doing this? Just asking, knowing how anal they can be about such things.
