I am new here and new to the DSLR game as well. I picked up a 40D last year and have been trying to get use to the camera. I went on the cheap and bought 50mm 1.8 last week. I have not had much time to use the 50 but was able to snap a shot or two of my dog Lucy.

I hope to learn more here and so far it looks like an awesome site!
(Feedback appreciated)

Thanks for looking,
Mike

Beautiful shots!!! :) I JUST picked up the 50mm 1.8 for my xti. Literally, lol, I mean I'm typing on my laptop on the way home from getting it up in Minneapolis. Don't worry I'm not driving haha! I can't wait to try this out. I have only the kit lens at home. I have a engagement shoot tomorrow so I think this will come in handy! Btw, I love the second pic, it's one I would hang on my wall!
