Is it pretty standard to place some type of logo or company name on all senior pictures, even if they want their names and year too? Seems like a lot? Do you put them on the wallet size too??

I know the reason is the protect our rights...

Thanks for the help...

Brian

I don't...I'm torn also if I should or shouldn't. There are alot of photographers around my area that DO, but I am worried that parents will **** if there is a logo anywhere on the image. There will always be that person that says...it's covering up his class ring...or i don't like that logo over her dress. I guess maybe you should poll your market area and current clients to see if they would really mind. It's fabulous advertising though, isn't it?

Yes it is. I always worry about the larger prints taken down to walmart and being scanned.

I would say that on the wallet pics, yes. On full size portraits that are issued for frames, no.

Looking at it from the customers point, If I paid for a nice portrait, I would be angry if the photographer put his name on the front of it.

I put it on all of them. Why? Well... only because the big school picture companys do. They however, actually will at times emboss thier logo with gold foil. Im not going to do that. All of my own school pictures have a mark of some kind on them. So I just copy what they do. It is not a large mark, but it is there. It could easily get cropped out at wal-mart. But if it is big enuf to not be able to crop out....its to big. Its a double edge sword.

Im sure you can come up with some sort of mark that is very unobtrusinve, but serves the purpose.
