To go along with my previous Sea Otter post, here are some shots of some Steller Sea Lions lounging around the rocks of Resurrection Bay Alaska. As before, these were taken on a very cloudy and overcast day from a boat. All of these are uncropped full frame shots, and I was using my 300 f4 L IS the entire time.

Thanks for looking!

Excellent. I like the colors in #1 that the overcast light gave you.

The one just to the left of the big sea lion in the first shot looks like it had a run in with a shark or whale? Great shots!

Thank you everyone for all of the great comments! I really haven't been out doing any wildlife photography in a long time, and it feels good to get out shooting again. I was shooting everything at ISO 400 and was able to get a good shutter speed of around 1/600 to 1/1000 at f/8 - f/10 the entire trip.

Thanks man. Definitely post those, and maybe some of your Orca shots. We weren't lucky enough to see them this time out. We did see a bunch of Dahl's Porpoise that were interested in playing in our wake.

Thanks! This was only one of the three rocks that they were hauled out on. This one had the most activity since some of the sea lions seemed awake :), So I concentrated on this rock.
