so yea, am i off to a good start? What is the cheapest way to get some decent lighting? I have a photoshoot with some models and then some more with cars, so I think i am going to need some more lighting.

I might buy a reflector soon, but what else is there?

thanks, let me know if im on my way to strobist level

Get a flash cord or radio triggers, so you can get the flash off of the camera. The BMW would have been great with the flash to the side of the car, rather than from the same direction as the camera. But it is a decient first try.

Hey Man, Good start. Here are some things to look out for.

1. Hot spots on your cars from the florescent lights above.
2. Get level with what you are shooting and make sure you can't see your reflections in the car.

The biggest thing to get your photos rockin is get that flash off your camera and buy more of them. Check out Strobist.com they did a section on shooting vehicles with one flash a softbox and 30 second exposure. It's pretty RAD. Later Dude.
