Hey Guys.

I don't take many portraits, but lately decided I should probably go and do some.

All taken with 400D + 85mm 1.8 and a 420EX.

Thanks for posting these.

As a beginner it's nice to see such great shots taken from the same equipment that I own.

I guess it just shows me it is the photographer and not the equipment (although it does help).

The 1st one made me laugh, great character shot.

Where did you bounce your flash?

One day I shall have a list, for now I have passion.

Love his expression in the first one :) The colour balance looks a little off to me, though. The second two look better for WB to my eye.

Nice series. I really like the first one. He has such a great expression.
Your lighting is good as I dont see any reflections on glasses or shadows
around them. Great job

I think the first two are excellent. The third is perfect also but I don't like the wall on her left...but she looks great. All three are top shelf. Thanks for sharing!

Excellent results I'd say. The lighting is really quite nice and the images are sharp and crisp. Keeping it simple really pays off.

Perhaps bouncing off the roof is the key?

I love the subtle differences in language.

These are very fun/nice images. I love the first one as it looks like an older Dr. Who (current Dr) and it makes me laugh.
