There are terms, lingo, and jargon we see on the forum every day that should just die out already. Mine:

  • "The Holy Trinity" of lenses... which no one can agree on. Is it the 35/50/85Ls? 35/85/135? Then people add things to the term, like "Holy Trinity of zooms" or "Holy Trinity of f/4 zooms"... ugh.
  • 'Tog... some bastardization shorting of "Photog" which was already an abbreviation for "Photographer." Really, people, we don't pay by the letter, just type it out.

what are yours?

Aw.. come on... It's all good.

But we can shorten Tog... Hmmm Lets see.
Photographer -> Photog -> Tog -> Tg -> " "

See Photographer = nothing. :)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Well that one is an actual product, not really lingo. I have one but I don't know where it is. 'Nuff said. :rolleyes:

oh yes.. and the worst: magic drainpipe

in fact, saying any piece of equipment has any "magic" at all should be a bannable offense. Justifying an expensive piece of kit that you don't necessarily need because it has "magic" that you can't get from a lesser alternative is... quite lame.
