Oh you're going to hell for that one :p

I have to agree though - I really don't care who is buying what, from where and when it will arrive. I want to see great photos which inspire me to try harder and to have a gear forum to go to for help with technical/technique problems. Brown trucks, pulled triggers and the rest of the public boasting in there holds no interest for me.

exactly.

(also not to mention the minute the 1000D is announced, there is a thread called 5D v 1000D)....

I mean come on.. It's not even released yet.

The only thing that is magic is the big brown truck.

I have a chuckle to myself everytime I read "big brown truck"..When I was very young we had outside toilets with toilet pans before the sewage was connected..

The toilet pans were collected what we called the "big brown truck"..
Nothing magic about that big brown truck!!

This whole "pulling the trigger" thing is getting out of hand.

I am 3 months pregnant and I can't stand people in my pregnancy forums calling their ultrasound photos that reveal the sex the "money shot". I don't know who made that up but it sounds really dumb to me.
Drives me batty.

I just was doing some googling research and apparently it's something from porno movies?
That makes it a thousand times worse. I wonder if people knew where it came from they'd refer to it as that? gross!!!!!!

Yes, that's the particular usage I was referring too, although it is does have a broader definition within the film industry.

Great topic. I just found this thread.

Ok, here's mine (I don't think this has come up yet). I can't stand it when someone refers to the 24-70 f/2.8 L as the "brick." For some reason that drives me up a wall! "Just pulled the trigger on my brick," "Brown just arrived with my brick."

Makes me wish I was in close proximity to them with a friggin brick.
