hehhehe, magic should definately be a useable term, I know I've used it a time or two since Wednesday :D There's just something magical about a fast Canon prime :D
I really tried to think of a term that bugs me here, but all in all it's a pretty good place. If I had to vote though it would probably be for 'pulled the trigger'. HAH or the word 'poll', you know there's trouble brewing there.

NOINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any resistance on this and we will resort to the forums own profane language filter!

It's a CANON forum people!
Noink is the enemy,. it's Evil pure and simple!

you my dear sir are wrong. you can ban me all you want, but I am still going to be right.

You may see a lot of things and you may in fact know a lot of things but one for sure is that Nikon isn't the enemy, the ones we have to fight is Sony. They are big enough and powerful enough to compete when it comes to market share.

I don't mind people using the term Noink to refer to Nikons, but I would like to point out that Canon cameras don't use ink either. :p

Sorry to beat this dead horse, but I just randomly had a memory of reading this post earlier today and started laughing in my head again. This is one of those truly classy posts that I will not soon forget! ;)

But Canon printers do! How many Nikon printers have you seen lately?

Mine would be "Noink". Honestly, get a life and call it Nikon. The brand is respectable and I promise, I can take as good of a photo with a Nikon than with a Canon. And Im sure others can too, they just have to get past the name phobia.

And the abbreviation for post processing. PP without the dots:|
Especially when someone says, "Critique my pp." or "Im tired...all I did today was pp."

It takes only a split second to add two dots:D

But maybe they really need someone to analyse their peepee because they've had an overabundance of it all day long....

Of couse, they shouldn't be posting on a photography forum for that, but people DO post on here for the damnedest things.

"Noink" almost made my list of annoying terms, yes.

theflyingkiwi wrote in post #5528110 (external link)
Noink or any variation on the spelling. It's nikon people, it's just a brand like every thing else out there. gee using the correct name isn't going to make it a better camera.

The other bug, which I must say doesn't happen here is use the use of txt words. it seems that most people can use the full word. :)

that gets my goat no end.

I've had the term Noink in my profile for at least a couple of years. It was to stop the google links of us Ni kon bashing hidden away from those users. Then someone suggested we just post Nikon, so they do see what great cameras Canon have, and poach them. ;)

and that's going to stop them from trying. Only good can come out of them trying to be bigger than everyone else. we get better products because of it. :)

and they are likely to take market share away from the likes of Canon and Nikon. Who btw are the biggest 2.

will Sony ever become that big, I have no idea. that's for the future to figure out.
