I very rarely shoot landscapes but I probably ought to select AF points and use evaluative metering, but I don't usually bother; I just use the centre AF point and partial metering, and lock and recompose if necessary. Charged battery when I got in, and after dinner set it all up, put my 70-200 F4L on and went out in the garden just as it was getting dark and just about managed 3 shots before shutter speed was just far too low with on-board flash and hand holding. Even so, with a normally unacceptable shot, I did a 100% crop of the flower head I focussed on and all things considered its pretty good going for very dim light and pop up. You can see the blurring on the outer flower edge, but I would never have achieved anything like this with my 350D. Linda Nice shot...now put that 580EX on there and keep shooting! John
