Ok i have a 580ex flash and i was wondering what Flashes work with the optical slave function?Could i use a 300 Ez? or any other cheap flash

May 15, 2008 10:10 | #5 I was thinking that. it would just be 1 less thing to carry you have to have a flash any way so why not just get one that does both .. Titus213 Cream of the Crop More info | May 15, 2008 15:30 | #10 420EX, 430EX, 550EX, 580EX, 580EX II. Not sure about any other EX flashes. I believe I've read (but not experienced) that even 3rd party flashes that are ETTL compatible are not totally so in the Canon wireless system. Dave
