I use a couple of little FREE programs to view, rename, resize and watermark some of my photos for posting. One program - FastStone Image Viewer - DOES read and display RAW files. It will show the contents of a folder in thumbnail view but when a thumbnail is selected it will also display the image full size.

It is NOT an editor but it will allow batch renaming of files and has some other handy features. I only discovered that it will display RAW files by accident as I had shot some photos in Large .jpg format as well as a few in RAW and put them in a folder. I essentially navigated to the folder in FastStone just to see the .jpg's but was surprised to see ALL of the files could be displayed.

If requested I can supply a link to the FastStone website - it's a FREEWARE program and free download.

Although it says it "can" convert RAW files to .jpg it could not do any of the ones I have - on ANY of the settings. It would generate an unreadable file no matter what. It did NOT alter or make any changes to the original RAW files though so that was good. Other than the conversion (which I would not want it to do anyway! LOL!!) it works flawlessly.
