This room was completely pitch black. I decided to try some light painting and I think it gives the photo a really nitty gritty look. Do you think the light painting adds to the photo, or do you think it would be better using a couple flashes and properly exposing the entire scene?

I think it looks great, what kind of light were u using to light it?

I think the light painting adds better effect to it. You could always compare. Although, now that I think about it maybe a single flash fired at the chair could give some dramatic effect as well.

Thanks! Believe it or not, I used a Maglite :D

I think the light painting adds better effect to it. You could always compare. Although, now that I think about it maybe a single flash fired at the chair could give some dramatic effect as well.

Busted! :lol: I do have some other shots I did use my flash on, but they are concentrated around the sink and lockers in the back. I will post them up and see what you think.

There is a place like that around here, but "urban explorers" have reported being physically shoved around by "short, shadowy figures".

I guess thats what you expect from a abandoned (and very off-limits) asylum.
