If you have to carry your photographic gear with you all day, every day, for many many weeks. You will be doing a great many things, but photography is definitely one of them.

What would be your weight limit for the all your photographic gear?

Exactly the way I feel. With the amount of money I spent on all my gear, you better believe Im going to have it on me all the time and using it all.

Agree with you there. My whole gear list fits into one backpack and can carry it around with no problem. If I do want to travel light, I will pick up one lens for each body and both flashes and remove the rest.

I like to travel light. All I carry around usually is the 24-70, 70-200F4IS and a 580exII flash in a Velocity 7x bag. I'd guess that's around 7-8lbs? If I know I'll need a tripod, I've got a Gitzo thats like 3lbs.

My mini-trekker, when fully-loaded, weighs somewhere around 15-18 pounds depending on which lenses I happen to be carrying at the time.

I don't do a lot of walk around shooting, but when I do it's usually just a 5D and a 50 1.4. I just don't like having to carry things.

I'll bet if you weigh it, it's close to double that - even without batteries, blower, manuals, etc. :)

My fully loaded backpack weighs up to 25lbs, and that's without a tripod. It definitely gets heavy at the end of the day, but it depends on the activities during the day and how many hours we're talking. I try to bring less though, typically - by taking what I need for the day in a 7MDH. But even that can get heavy after eight hours!
