So a few days ago I had 302 unique transactions at 99.8% positive. Today I suddenly got 323 with 100%. As I ain't bought 21 items this last couple of days ebay must have changed how they are doing feedback.

Also, we no longer have sellers being able to feedback meaning that those like the *******s who left me me my one single negative as retaliation to my neutral over a sucky description they gave will no longer be able to. This should improve the validity of feedback and up standards - or am I wrong?

I try to check a seller's feedback carefully , both what they are left, and what they give others, before buying or bidding. Some sellers have a habit of retaliatory negative feedback, others are sloppy about giving any feedback, and sometimes people give pos feedback with negative commnents to avoid retaliatory negatives. All bad. So I try to avoid sellers who look unethical from the start.

But yes, i agree with the change. It is a shame though, that the majority of good sellers are now unable to leave truthful feedback against the odd lousy buyer.

My Brother-in-law had a similar thing happen to him - some moron gave him a neg because he gave a neutral but pointed out that the dvd he bought from the guy was an obvious pirate copy.
I didn't realise they were 'back-dating' this though. - (EDIT: Looks like they are basing your percentage on the last 12 months, not on your lifetime of dealing)

I think people are more likely to give a neg without fear of receiving one themselves, but it could be open to abuse.
