My advice is stay with reputable merchants... Amazon, B&H, Adorama,
NewEgg...

This isn't too good to be true, just good. Get a refurbished 30D from Adorama for $640 with free shipping.

I have had my refurb 30D for a year now with no problems at all. I had to send two Canon DSLR cameras which I purchased new back to the Canon Service Center; each within the first 90 days. They have been working fine after their trip to the Service Center.

I have more confidence in the Quality Control of Canon Service Centers than I do in the Quality Control of the Canon Assembly Line. I will buy all my cameras refurbished from now on...
