Now from what i understand with Aden, is that the price listed is their sale price PLUS i can still send in for the rebate, as their site says prices listed is before rebate, so that is another $200 off the 40D combo.... and othe items, so another $300 knocked off...
After rebates (if i ever get em from Canon) Subtotal $2,169.94
, and has some very interesting options, I am currently wondering why I never got the 5D any sooner, especially considering the stuff I like to shoot a lot (landscapes, low light, macro, portraits, still lifes, products). Of course, when it came out it was twice the price it is now after cashback, and it seems outdated, but considerign my experiences with only recently released cameras and lenses, I have learnt my lesson. I'll wait for a year at least after its release with relatively slow moving stuff (like fast L-primes, FF cameras, the more advanced APS-C cameras, etc.), before adding it to the bag. This means that if the 5D II is released at Photokina, I will only consider getting it in about 18 months time from now. It just takes that much time to iron out the bugs with the complex cameras of this time. So, IMO, it is worthwhile to get the hang of a FF camera right now. Another advantage is that the price will have come down from the initial advised retail price to a more sensible amount by that time too.
i will be in Toronto Ontario, my home originally, so buying in that loca..
