First BIF and I get a twofer.

It's actually the same egret with Photomerge applied in CS3.

It preened for awhile before it took off.

I actually think this is a pretty neat shot. If you had of had just one of the bird, the shot wouldn't have been close enough to really make an impression but having two of him makes it look more like an environmental shot I guess you'd call it. My only real complaint here is that big blur in the foreground down in the lower right corner...looks like some ominous green blob that's about to come up and engulf the poor flying egret! LOL!!!

Nice merge.

Peace,
Jim

Very nice shot chauncey. I love the texture, and the egret gives a nice focal point to a nice background. My only suggestion would be to clone out that portion of tree in the bottom right that is very OoF with parts of the one right behind it.

Had a bit of a play to show you the results. I also applied several channel blends to bring out the depth in the trees (although that was completely subjective since you did a pretty good job of that yourself).

Yours is definately prettier LD, but in reality the background was a little more blase.

Hehe I just replaced it with one where the background was jazzercised even more ;)

I like it even though it may not represent reality.

Edit: Is that the original posted above?

even though it may not represent reality.

If it's a photomerge such as he said with the first shot, then it doesn't represent reality in the first place! LOL!!!

Photoshop..."your friend and mine".
Peace,
Jim

Daah, I knew that, I think. Touche Jim, I definitely lost reality with both images of same bird. ;)
