It really is showing us just how fast time goes by, don't waste it, freeze it and enjoy every minute!

It may not be perfect but it's a good starting place

I've just searched this forum for 'moon' and .... wow. I either need to buy a bigger lens, or be content with landscape photography :)

Last attempt >>

Nice job on that last attempt, Paulmalsop! I take it you found the smaller aperture and slower shutter speed worked better than a wider aperture and faster shutter speed like the link suggests? Thanks to bbqKing for posting the link. It certainly gives me a place to start. I'll have to give it a try tomorrow because it is too cloudy where I am now.

Damned, that site is good, I went out, looked at the moon, and look at the chart, it seems to automatically update the phase of the moon and I got this, one shot.

100% crop

I don't have enough zoom. Even with my extender (Canon XT). I think I need an extender. ;)

Ya'll are funny!

For some freaky reason, I was out on the side porch trying my hand at moon shots.

Also got nothing but what comes out of that end of the moon. I was doing slow shutter speeds and 100 ISO.

Will try again with the recommended f4.5 and ISO 100 and see what happens.

Please don't mention lenses! I'm getting ready to buy my 5D, so everything is on hold!
