First attempt at moon shots

here are a couple shots of the moon 1st one was shot in high\fine jpeg the second was shot in raw then converted to jpeg. adjusted levels and sharpening in CS2. C&C Always welcome.

The second is loads clearer, but surely that's not just because you shot it in RAW and converted to JPG, is it? Is a larger image too. Which lens/lenses did you use? Much enlarging of the image and/or cropping?

Both shots are great, but the second particularly so...very nearly the sort of quality I get through my 1200mm telescope.

I used my 50-500 Sigma.they were 100% crops sized to meet the requirements for uploading.
