I'm liking this one a lot but would like some feedback:

IMAGE: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2289/2500774810_50caef0400_b.jpg
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/1600)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 250 mm
ISO Speed: 1000 (due to fast little bugger!)
Canon 55-250

This one I can't seem to get right. The sky is blown out but the lighting on the barn is great.

Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200)
Aperture: f/10
Focal Length: 17 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Tamron 17-50

Thanks!

What are you doing up at that crazy hour?

A little "Super Glue" on the ant will slow him down.

Really nice job on the barn, ya nailed that one. Take it again with a better sky.

A little trick to slow insects, frogs, lizards etc down is to stick them in the fridge for around 10 minutes..It won't kill them but slooooowwwws them right down..

i think the problems you face with your barn picture is the reason people do HDR.

The detail in the sky is completely blown. If shot in Raw, it may be possible to recover some of the detail.

Else...

Thanks for the comments and kind words. Definitely appreciated. I don't really like HDR but I can see where it has an advantage here. Chappie, nice work changing out the sky! Is that a Photoshop job or what did you use? I only have DPP. I think I might try and retake it tonight if the weather/sky is good. Until then, here is a crappy HDR I just threw together from 2 EV +/- off the RAW file.

Just using a simple mask (using select colour) + a random sky image layered over the original image in Photoshop.

There are other people on here that would make my attempt seem amateurish but I'm glad you liked it :)
