took the new toys out to the local airfield (Ardmore) today and what do you know, there's ZK-PBY / NZ4017 doing touch-n-go's. One of my favourite aircraft, hope you enjoy.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

First one is very sharp for 1/160s, I wish I could do that, I rarely have the nerve to go under 1/200. A lovely aircraft.

First one is very sharp for 1/160s, I wish I could do that,

It's easier than you might think when they're coming right at you. That's assuming that you can hold steady when they're coming right at you.

thanks guys - the natural instinct is to duck so it was quite hard to just stand there & go click... bet the folks aboard thought "who's this lunatic?" :-)

Thats a great head on shot !!!! Always a great rush to get buzzed right over head from some props.

A little L goes a long way.
