i have considering buying a scanner to import a professional portrait so that i can print out different parts and alter some of the image myself - i was looking for advices as to what i should be looking for in a scanner as i have no idea! The photos are quite small around 2x2" and 6x4" and im worried that they may appear grainy when enlarged, as i am a complete newbie to this i need mono-sylabic replies please!!
Many thanks in advance for any input

If you have the negatives then I would got with a scanner desined for scanning negatives. From what I have read it will give you a much better scan.
