this is why i've not been about for a while and yes this time it actualy broke :cry: . i could'nt beleive it when i saw the mount and the 1st section of the lens on the camera and the lens 2ft from there.

bloody hell just befor the summer season starts and i could,nt justify spending that sort of money on another lens when i need birds and macro .

so i had a read up and went for the new fuji s100fs

makes me sick looking at the image let alone have it here in the case .

yes mitch i did i was rushing back from takingthe dogs out and as they rite time rite place . the barn owl was fly past my garden hide so i rushed home went to the bottom
of the garden lent down to pick up a lenght of wood and the bloody thing fell from shoulder and lended on a slap and not wood bark.

as you now that ive already got the 40d on my home insurance so ill be saving hard for the only thing missing in my collection is a good BIF lens.

thanks mono ive spoke to some othere s100fs owners and they have printed 32" wide and had x resaults.

so ill be printing this asap.

cheers jason

Bad luck on the Bigma. The fuji shots look nice, very natural.

that looks repairable via replacing the small ribon cables and the metal barrel section, the main body and circuit board look ok except the part of the circuit board near the screw by the exit glass, looks like a stress crack on the circuit, but the traces can be repaired, as long as the solder poits on the ribon/flex circuit are not broken. Did the lense suffer any other damage from impact?
