It's technically not under warranty if used...(or from an unauthorized dealer I think??).

Well thank god i had the receipt, camera has been working great since i got it back the second time. (lol)

I don't know why Canon is so ambiguous when they 'fix' something. I sent mine in once for a specific problem and when it came back they statement of repair said "cleaned, and adjusted to factory standards". It was so generic a statement I had no idea what they did, if they ever saw the same problem I sent it in for... and like the OP in this case, the problem was still there.

Funny thing. Sometimes I've gotten specific statements of what was replaced/repaired. But one time, the repair sheet said "replaced the thing." :lol:
