This is Buddy, a 4 year old Belgian Malinois fresh off the plane from Holland. This is probably one of my favorite pictures I have taken while at training. For me, its the intensity of his eyes.

What is going on here is muzzle training. There is a agitator (the 'bad guy') just out of sight that is making threatening gestures towards the handler/K9 team. Part of the training for new dogs is getting rid of their equipment fixation. Most European trained dogs are training on bite sleeves or big, puffy bite suits. Seeing an agitator in a short sleeve shirt is a new picture for them. The still get to engage, but the muzzle keeps the agitator safe.
