I haven't seen a fly like this before, it was big and drowsy. I shot some with flash but I think this one was just sunlight.

Thanks. I think the fly must have been sleeping under a lid I turned over in the yard. Lucky for me, I got a nice sleepy subject.

Wonderful shots- has that just hatched look with the slightly swollen head - Suspect it's a tachinid fly.
