Does anyone have experience with this lense? I am trying to get past my beer budget days of Quantaray lenses.
Is it a good lense for shooting outdoors? Sharp focus, Quick,.
Thanks,
Rob

I'v had the 75-300 IS lens for about 2 years and I love it. The new 75-300 has a newer technology that mine so I guess it will be even better than mine. It is a good walking around lens. Go for it.

I have got the original version of this lens, can take good shots, doesn't feel as nice at the real USM lenses such as the 28-105 though. IS works a treat though. Negatives, zoom creep, slow to focus, and rotating from element (no good with a CPL). Good for the $$$, but on my upgrade list at some point (hmmm 100-400L).
