I promise, I did a search for a similar thread and didn't see anything. So if there is one then you will just have to hurt me.

Took my lovely queen to a play on Sat. I have never shot in that kind of environment with a digital. Used ISO 1600 which I have only played with in the past. No flash used. Some pp done on brightness and contrast. Used the NR feature in DPP.

Didn't turn our bad at all.

What do you have?

Shot at a cheering competition with the 1D (MK1) at ISO 3200 (equivalent) when I was told I could not use any flash (even though I have in the past). Reduced noise with Neat Image plug-in.

MKIIn....shot in RAW. ISO 1600 gets dipped in DPP...ISO 3200 continues on for a wash in Noise Ninja :)

If you take a 5D, crank it up to 1600 or H and open up a 85L, then you can shoot where the glow from a laptop is your bightest light source...
