70-200 2.8 IS Price

Amazon currently has it at $1495.30 USD shipped (gold box I think). Is that a good price? It's so tempting when B&H has it for about $100 more

thats a good price. the lowest I've seen that lens is $1474 @ BH. Thats when they had canon's instant rebate and the convention discount. Now I'm kicking myself for not buying at that price.

I think Amazon already did the instant rebate price but didn't list it. Or I could be wrong, I've never used a Canon instant rebate before, so I don't know how it works. But I did pull the trigger and added $5 for 3-5 day shipping

i'm not even looking to buy one, but if it shows up at that price in my gold box, i'd buy it. thats how good of a price it is

I was checking Amazon's status today because I was a bit worried the purchase wouldn't go through. It was still in my gold box this morning, but a few hours later, they removed it, and it's no longer in stock at Amazon! Thankfully, as of an hour ago it has been shipped

i tried to clear my recommendations and do the trick to fool the box. all i got was some stupid scholastic book pack

Yes thats a good price...its been in my gold box for that price for weeks...nothing new shows up for me anymore. If I didnt have the f4 already I would jump on it.

Good price. If you need it and have the money today. Go for it! But if you don't have the money, don't spend it when you don't have it.

Yea if you can get it for less than $1500 jump on it! Thats about as good as it gets for that lens.
