Thats more powerful than the 580EXII.
I was thinking of the Photogenic 3DMax III w/ the small portable battery, what do you guys think about this product?

In terms of power output and color consistency the Photogenic StudioMax III are very good. Build is not all that great and the analog power level knob does not give you much in the way of accuracy. Another thing to consider with these strobes is that there is no proportional modeling light. It's either on or off and when on it's at full power. For outdoor shooting it's not an issue but if you're indoors and and are using multiple strobes it's not the most convenient thing. Robert

The Quantums are quite powerful at 150WS but it's a pricey system to get up and running.
