Many thanks! The blur is natural, straight from the camera. AdamLewis wrote in post #5556034 Id rather see it with the ball more in focus and without the very distracting background. Not sure what you were going for with f/2.2 Isolation of the subject? Testing a new lens. Pleasing the likes of the previous poster? big_apple_ken wrote in post #5556094 This is a good looking photo. Including all of the ball isn't that crucial to this shot's story. Canon 20D w/grip, 300D, Powershot SX100 w/HF-DC1 flash, Canon 70-200 f/2.8L, 85 f/1.8, 17-55 f/2.8 IS, 50 f/1.8, 580EX and some other stuff...

The younguns tend to kick the ball way out infront instead of keeping it close under control which is gonna make the ball OOF in alot of situations I agree, actually. The shot of my son was at f/5.6 IIRC. But I just got the 200 and wanted to see what the Platinum Brick could do wide open, or should I say nearly wide open. JAcosta wrote in post #5558407 Youre sick and cruel. Ill never be able to actually justify that lens but now you make me want to sooo bad. Great shot though. Thanks. 1080iAddict wrote in post #5559415 Aerosmith.... That is a GREAT shot of your son. The lighting was perfect! I am relatively new to trying to photograph my kids at their sports, but this was taken with my MIII and 70-200 f/2.8L IS lens: -Adam Thanks, Adam. The second shot I posted, the one of my son, was taken with the 70-200 f/2.8L IS. Though I actually sold that lens, among others, to help finance the purchase of the 200/2. Josh Smith
